Once Upon a Time....

Just a day late blogging.

Had a session with a sweet little girl named Chelsea, yesterday. Instead of bringing a stuffed animal, she brought her favorite books! We had a rough start. She wasn't so sure about me and one look at my camera, she started crying. BUT, we soon made good friends. She did such a good job. As usual, I couldn't wait to get home and start editing! Here's a few from her session.

A Formal Introduction

Who would have thought that Addy would meet her dream cake while eating at a Chinese Buffet? I guess she was smitten because she brought it home and hasn't left "his" side ever since. I'd like to formally introduce...Adalie's "boyfriend".
I've tried throwing it away. She won't let me near it! She says, "NO, MY boyfwend!" She even took it to bed with us, lastnight. ...As her mother, I hope she raises her standards as she gets older.

Mississippi Girl

I had the most awesome shoot this weekend and I am hoping to do atleast one more with my new favorite little model! Most of the time, before a shoot, I go with ideas already planned for what kind of pics I want to get...MOST of the time, I end up doing something totally different. I'm a go with the flow kinda girl. This weekend I had some ideas and actually captured ALL of them and MORE! I'm used to working with younger models, 4 and under. I usually brib the kiddos or play a game with them to get the shots. I follow them around like a stalker with a camera.

Jules is an 11 year old aspiring model and she did such an awesome job. My idea was "Fashion Country Girl". She was comfortable infront of the camera and posed just the way I wanted. It couldn't have gone any better.

A Day at the Res

Had the chance to take a ride to Jackson's reservoir. I think it's one of the best spots here in town to go and relax with the kids. It was cloudy out. I just so happen to be very fond of overcast days. Not to mention, it cut out on the HOT temps here. Like most parks, there were a ton of ducks there. Unlike the ducks in CA, these were pretty easy going and did'nt chase you.

I tried my hardest to get nice pictures of The Adster. She was on the move...and I mean, she didn't stop running the whole time! She almost jumped into the water twice. I had to catch her mid-air...She met three sweet girls, who happened to be swimming and they tried their hardest to help me get pics, bribing her with rocks.

Later on, we went to Hobby Lobby, my new favorite store, to pick up some props for an up-comming shoot. Grass skirts and lays! I have to alter one...its adult size...It pays to pay attention to what you are buying!

Memorial Day Weekend

This Memorial Day weekend I had the opprotunity to visit a friend of mine I've know since 5th grade! It had been awhile since I had seen her but once, I got there, it felt like no time had pasted at all. She looked just as she did in highschool and there wasn't that arkward feeling you get when you havn't seen someone in forever and everyone's changed.

I got to meet her handsome hubby and her adorable kids. I even got the pleasure of taking some shots of her smallest, Wesley. Talk about HANDSOME! Cotton top and big blue eyes! Man! Was I lucky.

The girls and I had a blast! They even got to take rides on their four wheelers. I hope to take another visit soon. It really was a good time.
