I had this idea for a shoot I wanted to do, and ofcourse, for that I grab my AddyBear to model for me. I went to Beaufort with a friend and as we walked on the water front, looking at all the yots and sailboats I, suddenly, wanted to do a nautical style session. Like most people, I think, I hate spending a lot of money on clothes for my kids if they are only going to wear it once. So, I found this dress online for 3 bucks. Not sure how old it is, but it smells like an old library....I kinda like the smell of old buildings...so I kinda like that the dress seems old and musty haha.
Anyway, we already had shoes to go with the dress and wouldnt you know that 20 mins before we were to meet a friend for the shoot the dog ate, literally, HALF a shoe!! How he did this without me knowing I dont know! He must be half Jack Russell, half ninja. News shoes (that I dont even get pics of, $10).
Bows were made by a friend of mine @ Ali Marie''s Bow Boutique.
I guess my point is, that I only spent $13.00 on styling Adalie for this. ($3.00 if the dog hadn't eaten her shoe.) So for those of you who feel like you have to go out and buy expensive clothes for your little one when getting on location photos done, just get creative!! Look through second hand stores, look online, put things together. They may never wear what you buy again so why pay a lot for it?!
