Melissa's Maternity Sessioin

This is Melissa. Soon to come is little Owen.

We were, literally, racing an approaching storm as we shot these! There was rumble from thunder and some sort of siren going off in the distance. If we hadn't both driven half an hour to meet at this location, I think we would have rescheduled. But there was no rain and a bit of light still so we just went for it! I'm not sure I've moved so fast during a session. I was trying to get as much in as possible before the rain started. I am also really scared of thunder and lighting. I was alittle nervous we were going to get struck by lighting...just alittle.

I would have loved to of had more light and more time. Such a pretty model and I love this location. So...I offered a second shoot in a month or so! I'm looking forward to it.

It seems like just yesterday that I was pregnant with my first baby. Everything was so new and exciting. That was over 10 years ago. Time sure moves fast.

Prada Cakes

Prada. 20 months old. Sassy. Loves puppies. ...Or atleast likes to say "puppies" a lot. When I put this necklace on her,  she walked with a swagger. She is a good friend's daughter.Her photography page here. Eventhough, they already live an hour away, they are moving FIVE hours away this Wednesday! ....I do love road trips. I guess this gives me a reason to take one every so often!

Happy Birthday Ethan

Shot my first birthday party. Met a super cute family and a super sweet mama. Had a wonderful time!  

She stayed up all night cooking and baking for the party. Everything was so pretty and the food smelled soo good.

Colebert

Today was the first day I ever changed a baby boy's diaper....ever. I know that may be hard for some of you to believe it's true! I felt that slightly uncertained feeling I felt before I changing my little sister's diaper when I was 16. Like then, I managed and felt accomplished.

I've always wanted my own baby boy. I always wonder what he would look like and if he'd be a momma's boy. Would he be sweet and quiet or loud and crazy. I've come to accept I will probably never have one. And, really, do I really want another baby running around? Sure if I was lucky enough to have a baby that slept through the night, never cried when growing teeth, never screamed and threw things for no other reason than to be screaming and throwing things, slept through the night....Luck has never really been on my side. I will stick with my two beautiful girls. :)



Introducing, Cole. aka Colebert. He's one of the sweet ones. Never fussed and kept a smile on his little face. Was happy to be is sitter for today.
